A week ago, I decided to take the mighty plunge and put myself out there, physically.

Instead of merely being a presence behind a computer screen, I wanted to meet new people; have them see what I do and interact with them. Hopefully, this would leave a great impression that would lead to a great working relationship.

As a designer, it’s kind of nerve-wracking to expose yourself and your work to criticism, but the thought of it is actually more scary than the actual experience. People were surprisingly receptive and kind.

What I learned from the experience is that it’s important to have a sales pitch, to be prepared and to smile a lot :). Practice makes perfect, so I hope to be seen out and about more often.
