The beauty of flowers is that they brighten up any space and bring a feeling of nature into indoor spaces. Maintaining flowers and plants can become a chore if you don’t have a green thumb or are simply too busy to water, prune and care for your plants.
Faux plants and flowers are a great alternative because they can look very close to the real thing without the additional task of maintenance. Just have them displayed in a beautiful vase or planter and you’re good to go!
I made an arrangement of flowers for display at a salon reception where the client wanted to bring a pop of colour and delight her customers as they came in for their various beauty treatments.
Since the vases were tall and clear, I made use of fillers and creatively displayed some flowers inside the vase which could be seen through to draw visual interest to the whole length of the vase. Finally, a small vase filled with rocks and stones brought a sense of flow and unity to the whole display.
The key with faux flowers is to choose the ones that look closest to the real thing, then fill the rest of the container with dried twigs and plants to make it look as natural as possible.
Have a flowery day!
